Nothing brings a community together like performing arts, especially in a park. The City of Healdsburg Community Services Department has partnered with the Raven Performing Arts Theater on several summer theater programs in our community parks. The Raven Players Artistic Director, Steven David Martin, has offered unique takes on William Shakespeare plays featuring:
"As You Like It" (set during the Summer of Love, 1967)
"Shakespeare Abridged" (an irreverent romp through all of Shakespeare's comedies)
"Twelfth Night" (set in the Roaring 1920s)
The Raven Players have also taken the stage with an ensemble musical theater piece, "Woody Guthrie's American Song" (adapted from the songs and writings of "America's premier folk poet"). Every performance brings a twist and offers an unforgettable experience. Best of all, community members can attend each show for free. Offering quality theater programming in Healdsburg could not be possible without The Raven Performing Arts Theater's Executive Director, Tom Brand, Raven Players Artistic Director, Steven David Martin, a team of talented production managers, and some fabulous community performers.
